Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot, Half & Half, fermented in large wooden casks, aged for a few years in smaller barrique.

WHERE

11 hectares in the village of Siebeneich/ Settequerce lives in the province of Bolzano in far northern Italy’s Südtirol. The vineyards have a sunny exposure and the soil is rich in sandy clay.

Why: The Brigl family and their team consider themselves life companions of the vines, accompanying them from the moment they were first planted to the harvesting of the grapes, through the wines’ development in barrel.

WHO

The Brigl family, currently Florian and Manuela, have be stewards of the land since 1927 though their family are documented vine growers since the 1500s and there is viticultural mention of this land going back to the 14th century.
