The best way to slow down time is to be present… we read that in passing and have been thinking about it…it's one of those simple, true things that's nice to be reminded of, especially at this time of year. We find that the warm glow of well-timed, well-made, well-savored wine helps to soak in the sweet quality of time. 

 

Here are a few bottles we're currently admiring…a biodynamic Chablis (pure and silky and driving from a little family grower), Antonio Statti's Greco in all its silky, creamy glory (cue the Feast of the Seven Fishes), Lancelot's delicate-as-a-late-summer-peach Blanc de Blanc from Champagne's Grand Cru Village of Cramant, Usseglio's poignant “Charles” Lirac, always (we like to say that Charles is our friend), and Crocker & Starr's perfectly classic St. Helena Cabernet Sauvignon.

We're collecting toys through this weekend for our annual collaboration with Little Golden Light, an organization that supports children with pediatric cancer. Levity feeds the soul and play is a form of medicine. If you're able to help fill the wicker trunk by the front door, stop by anytime!

 

The shop is decked with two trees, six wreaths, and a cheery spirit. We're calling it a Little Women Christmas. We made most of our own ornaments and garlands on a hot-glue-gun kind of Saturday Each element has meaning, but we won't ramble on with the fun, silly details here…find more on the socials. 

 

We're so grateful to be part of a community that shows up for…and enjoys…its neighbors (near and far!) in a way we are moved by every day.
