Vineyards on the hill known as Il Bricco in Nizza, and in Fraz. Chiesavecchia in the municipality of Calamandrana, Italy. The hilly territory, with elevation reaching three hundred and fifty meters and soils prevalently sandy-clayey, makes this region very suitable for viticulture and enables to create the famous Barbera wines. The climate is Mediterranean, with hot summers and rainy winter months with temperatures above 0°C.

After crushing, the must (skins, seeds, stems, juice) ferments in temperature controlled stainless steel vats about seven days, is racked off, then put back in vats where it rests until bottling.
