WHO
High Wire Distilling was founded in 2013 by Scott Blackwell and Ann Marshall in Charleston. Jimmy Red is a magenta landrace corn once grown on James Island and nearly lost forever — High Wire spent years rebuilding a seed supply for what they call the most flavorful whiskey corn they've ever tasted. The sweet-mash spirit is finished in fresh Oloroso sherry casks, a nod to colonial Charleston's taste for oxidized wines. Brown sugar, maple, gingerbread, graham cracker, baking spice, and dried fruit.
