A group of friends who were already making great wine and decided to make more great wine- the late, great, Marcel Lapierre, Joseph Chamonard, Jean-Claude Chadunet, and his wife Genevieve Chadunet (the Joseph in this mix is her father).

A small parcel identified as great in Beaujolais, Burgundy with no cru attributed but noble just the same. Clayey granite, calcareous sand soil in a place originally planted to vine in the early 1900s.
This friendly bunch found a plot of land they couldn’t refuse and decided to make delicious wine together.

Natural farming practices, hand harvested in October, carbonic maceration in separate parcels started with native yeasts in enamel tanks.
A late night and a good laugh.
