Pinot Noir from vines planted in 1963, 1969, and 1970. 

A 1.2 hectare parcel rich in clay and limestone from the vineyard “Petits Pres” located just south of the village appellation, “Volnay Les Pasquieres”. Bitouzet-Prieur is based in Volnay, with holdings in Meursault as well.

Vincent’s family settled in Volnay in 1804.  They were one of the first family domains in the region to bottle their wine.  They have so much history in their pocket to learn and grow and thrive from and it shows in their wines!

2017, a generous vintage in Burgundy

Harvested by hand around mid-September, a decently long natural fermentation, and aging for one year in neutral oak barrels

Duck rubbed in herbs and oil and roasted for a long, slow while.
