WHO
Poderi e Cantine Oddero is one of Barolo's oldest estates — the family has farmed the Langhe since the 1700s, and the first bottle of Oddero Barolo was released in 1878. Bussia, in Monforte d'Alba, is one of the appellation's most celebrated crus, giving Barolo of depth and perfume. The 1996 vintage is one of the great classical years of the modern era: cool, structured, and famously long-lived. At nearly three decades old, this is aged Barolo drinking in its prime — broody, complex, and complete. Decant for at least an hour.
